Community Planting

Transforming a community area by planting wild flowers.

Two potential areas have been identified for planting wild flowers.

The first is in the north east corner of the playing field and is triangular in shape with an area of approximately 12.5 m2 (134 sq ft).

This has been marked out (7 Oct) temporarily with stakes and will be mown in the next few days as part of the initial preparation.

The second is a 1 m wide strip of roadside verge at least 10m long adjacent to the fence alongside the playing field.

Discussions and planning is continuing but various wild flower bulbs are being ordered for planting later this Autumn in the first area.

Help with the planting and ongoing care is most welcome from anyone in the Community.  Please contact Ann Lamb or send an email to the TCAG.

A scrapbook is going to be kept of the various phases with some of the highlights posted here in due course on the Wild Flower Project web pages.
